LEADERSHIP

Mr. Garvey founded Glenwood L. Garvey Associates in 1980 to provide project management, planning and design services to corporate, institutional and government clients, both in the U.S. and internationally.  He was previously President of a prestigious planning and architecture firm and directed it to becoming the 5th largest firm in the U.S. and to guiding its entry and growth into the international market.

In addition to his professional leadership roles, he also founded and was President of a company he created based on patents he held for a new major industrial appliance and directed its highly-successful R&D and field-test program for introduction of this technology with U.S. oil companies.  He is the recipient of the R&D 100 Award, an American Institute of Architects Honor Award, was inducted into an Honorary Land Economics Society, and was recognized by the U.S. Navy for his innovative design contribution to the modernization of Naval Shipyards.

Mr. Garvey has been quoted in numerous trade journals, magazines and newspapers, interviewed on telecasts and programs; appeared on a national TV program segment on Productivity Gains in the U.S. Economy; and was selected by the Disney Company to participate in the opening of its "Innoventions" Center at Walt Disney World to showcase emerging technologies of importance to consumers.  He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a BS in Architectural Sciences and Bachelor of Architecture degrees; and from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Master of Architecture degree in Urban Design.
